Earth Day ‘Bloom Brew’ is Jacksonville’s first carbon neutral beer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Earth Day, Green Legacy Farm and Ruby Beach Brewing in Jacksonville partnered to release what they say is the city’s first carbon neutral beer.
The Green Legacy Farm Bloom Brew was introduced Friday during a cocktail party with farm to fork food, eco vendors and music at Ruby Beach Brewing in Downtown Jacksonville.
According to Ashantae Green, owner of Green Legacy Farm, which is a Black-owned farm in Florida, the beer is brewed with locally-grown ingredients, then composted to soil to be planted into trees, flowers and gardens.
The owner said proceeds from the sales of the beer will benefit food security through Green Legacy Farm programs and environmental justice through GreenLining Jax.
