JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A person died Wednesday after an altercation inside a home, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
According to police, just before 2 a.m., Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel responded to a person in need of medical assistance on University Boulevard North in Arlington and found a male who was unresponsive.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he died, police said.
Detectives are investigating, along with the Medical Examiner’s Office, in an attempt to determine a cause and manner of death, JSO said.
The Sheriff’s Office said the preliminary investigation shows there was an altercation inside a residence that led to the person being found unresponsive.
Detectives said they are interviewing several witnesses and “have located and identified all persons involved in this incident.”
