JACKSONVILLE; Fla.Farm Share, Florida’s largest food bank, is distributing food to residents in the greater Jacksonville area who are in need this Friday and Saturday.

More than 3.9 million families are suffering from food insecurity in Florida, and this nonprofit works to combat that statistic.

Residents will receive fresh produce and non-perishable canned goods at the distribution events.

Farm Share works with local farmers to recover and redistribute produce that would otherwise be thrown away due to aesthetic imperfections.

There will be two distribution events in our area:

Farm Share distribution with Interlachen Fire Station 17

Date: Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, from 8 a.m. until supplies last

Location: 217 Kennedy Ave., Interlachen, Fla. 32148

Farm Share distribution with the City of Lake Butler

Date: Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, from 8 a.m. until supplies last

Location: 155 NW 3rd St., Lake Butler, Fla. 32054
