St. Johns County received a $25 million grant from the state to complete this project.
Back in September, the County Commission got an update on the dune restoration.
Dredging from the Intercoastal Waterway began back in November and the sand that is dredged up will be used to help the beaches in the Summer Haven area.
The project is expected to be completed by the spring of this year.
