Widespread rain on Saturday could lead to localized flooding in Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With plenty of moisture in the air and rising temperatures, conditions are ripe for stormy weather.

You can expect heavier pockets of rain to impact your Saturday - keep the umbrella handy!

Along the coast, stormy weather will start early before moving inland with the east coast sea breeze. As the afternoon progresses, the heat of the day will help to fire off more storms inland and into Southeast Georgia.

Biggest threats: winds and localized flooding

Highs are expected in the upper 80s along the coast, lower 90s inland.

There’s a High Rip Current Risk through early Sunday morning for all beaches in Southeast Georgia through Northeast Florida. With rough seas and windy conditions, the safest place to be is on the sand.
