JACKSONVILLE, Fla. β A new survey out of the University of Chicago shows that fewer than one in five Americans would encourage a young person to become a K-12 teacher. And itβs no secret that there has been a teacher shortage in Florida for quite some time.

In fact, Florida needs 5,294 teachers to make-up for the shortage. Whether itβs pay, new laws regulating education or something else. We want to hear from teachers.
