‘Stadium of the Future’: Jaguars reveal renovation plans in online presentation (News4JAX)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The cost of turning EverBank Stadium into the Stadium of the Future could be $1.4 billion divided between the city and the Jaguars.

The city has already earmarked $10 million towards the stadium makeover. The funding is coming out of an already approved $20 million capital improvement plan.

The current construction plans have the stadium slated for renovation during the 2026 and 2027 seasons – with the Jags returning home in 2028.

Negotiations between the team and the city of Jacksonville are still underway and may not be decided until this summer.

On Tuesday, Kansas City voted on a sales tax extension to fund the Arrowhead Stadium renovations and it was resoundingly rejected. And that was for the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs.
