Jacksonville woman dead after crash in I-295 express lane

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – A 55-year-old Jacksonville woman is dead after another car struck the rear end of her vehicle on Interstate 295 at mile marker 57 on Sunday at 4:28 p.m.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car was travelling south on I-295 near MM 57 in the right express lane.
The 55-year-old woman was stopped in the right lane ahead of another car driven by a 39-year-old woman.
The other driver didn’t see the car stopped in front of her and struck the rear end of the car.
The 39-year-old driver and a 15-year-old girl were taken to the hospital.
Officials said the 55-year-old woman was taken to the hospital where she was prnounced dead.
