67-year-old bicyclist hit by car, killed on US 441 in Alachua County

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – A man died Sunday night after being hit by a car while riding a bicycle on U.S. Highway 441 in Alachua County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Around 8:45 p.m., a 33-year-old woman from Lake City was traveling south on the highway when she struck a 67-year-old bicyclist as he was crossing the road, troopers said.

According to FHP, the man was transported to a hospital where he died.
