Motorized skateboard incident claims life in Lake City

LAKE CITY, Fla. – A motorized skateboard incident in Lake City claimed the life of one person on Thursday night.
The Lake City Police Department found an individual lying in the street near NE Washington Street and NW Chestnut Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
The individual was suffering from significant injuries, police said.
Police learned that the person was using a motorized skateboard on NE Washington Street, approaching NE Chestnut Avenue, when they lost control and fell off the skateboard.
The individual, who police have not identified, died from their injuries.
