Station 17 crews meet unexpected alligator during late-night call (St. Johns County Fire Rescue)
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Fire Rescue ran into an unexpected roadblock Monday night — an alligator in the middle of the road.
Station 17 crews ran into the gator after clearing a structure fire, officials said.

Aided by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office , the alligator was safely guided off the roadway and back into the nearby woods.
