JTA suspends service of St. Johns River Ferry for 6-12 weeks to repair ramp
St. Johns River Ferry back in service
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. â The Jacksonville Transportation Authority has suspended service of the St. Johns River Ferry for six to 12 weeks to repair the ramp structure.
JTA said the ferry vessel remains operable, but recent assessments identified the need for repairs, which are expected to take six to 12 weeks to complete, depending on materials availability and supply chain factors.
On Sunday, the ferry hit the boarding ramp while leaving Mayport Landing.
Officials said theyâre working with HMS Ferries to investigate the incident and will share the findings with the public to ensure transparency and accountability.
