Rental car returns relocated at Jacksonville airport after garage fire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Due to the hourly garage fire at the Jacksonville International Airport, a temporary rental car return area was opened.
The fire that impacted at least 50 cars caused airport and traffic delays on Friday afternoon.

The temporary return area for the following companies will be staged at the rental car quick turnaround areas on Rental Car Road:
Alamo/National
Avis
Budget
Dollar
Hertz
Thrifty
Enterprise customers will return their vehicles on Staggerwing Road.
Sixt customers will return vehicles to the Aviation Authority admin office located at 14201 Pecan Park Road.
The airport will provide signage to direct travelers to the respective areas.
The hourly and daily garages will remain closed.
