St. Johns County firefighters rescue 2 adults from boat after it struck sandbar during storm

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County Fire Rescue said it rescued two adults whose boat took on water after striking a sandbar during a storm on Saturday morning.

Officials said the pair had no flotation devices on board and firefighters provided life jackets before bringing them to their vehicle.
The boat was secured and anchored to shore.
Officials are reminding people to check the weather before heading out on the water, as conditions can change fast.
