JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After surviving a gunshot wound to the head in an ambush, the Florida State University football player was released from rehab on Thursday.
Ethan Prichard, who is from Sanford, spent 34 days in intensive rehabilitation at Brooks Rehab after he was shot in the head outside of his aunt’s apartment in Havana on Aug. 31

According to investigators, the freshman linebacker was not doing anything wrong at the time of the shooting. Instead, he was visiting family after FSU won a game and taking his aunt home afterward.
Prichard was left in critical condition. Now, he is on his way to the next stage of the recovery journey.
