ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday that its deputies recently arrested and charged a woman after she stabbed another person multiple times at a home in Hastings.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were sent to a home on Reno Street on Nov. 7 to respond to reports of a stabbing.
After conducting an investigation, deputies determined that Kamala Singleton, 39, went to the residence armed with a knife to confront the victim and stabbed them multiple times before leaving the scene before the sheriff’s office’s arrival.
Singleton later turned herself in and is being held on no bond, the sheriff’s office said.
The agency added that the victim underwent emergency surgery and is expected to recover from the altercation.
