Nearly a dozen people displaced after fire at Fort Caroline Road apartment complex

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nearly a dozen people were displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment complex on Fort Caroline Road, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

Fire crews responded to the fire at building 25 of The Square at 59 Caroline on Thursday afternoon, resulting in 11 people being displaced.

JFRD said the blaze was under control around 7 p.m. and reported no injuries.

The American Red Cross is helping assist those displaced.

The cause of the fire is unknown. The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
