Person in custody after 2 women were shot inside St. Augustine home The victims were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A person is in custody on Thursday after two women were shot inside a St. Augustine home, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies said they quickly located the shooter and are trying to get a search warrant for the house on the 400 block of Lena Street.
Officials said both women were airlifted to the hospital.
Adam Vernon said he was sitting in his backyard when the suspect hopped the fence and ran. The video below shows deputies chasing him on foot before putting him in the back of a patrol car.
