The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said two members of the agency’s Motor Unit were taken to Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Sheriff Rick Staley said a driver tried to make a left turn and struck the two deputies on motorcycles. One deputy was pinned under his motorcycle and the other was knocked completely off onto the road.

Staley said the driver was cited for the improper lane change and he is charged with possession of marijuana less than 20g and possession of drug paraphernalia by the Florida Highway Patrol.
