Piner’s child is a student at a Jacksonville school and he doesn’t have custody of the child, the sheriff’s office said.

He was driving to Jacksonville from California with a gun on Monday. DCPS put four schools on a lockout out of caution, JSO said.

Piner was arrested on Wednesday by the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office in Texas.
