JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A lane reopened Thursday morning on Interstate 95 and Emerson after a multi-agency police pursuit, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect made threats to harm himself and others during an encounter. He fled from deputies and FHP troopers found the vehicle driving north on I-95 in St. Johns County.
Troopers attempted to stop the car north of I-95 and International Golf Parkway interchange but he continued north, making “erratic and unsafe actions towards troopers and the motoring public,” FHP said.
He continued into Duval County until he lost control of his car in the construction area of I-95 and Emerson, officials said.
The driver was taken into custody and no one was hurt. He will face numerous charges related to the incident by FHP and other agencies.
