Body, dog found in burned dumpster in New Berlin area; JSO investigating
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office investigates body and dog found in dumpster on Heckscher Drive (Ben Schubert, WJXT)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man and a dog were found inside a burned dumpster early Monday on Heckscher Drive.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said crews responded to a reported dumpster fire at a business just after midnight. After putting out the fire, crews found the man and the dog inside the dumpster.
JSO said detectives are reviewing surveillance video and speaking with witnesses. Officers said there are no signs of foul play at this time.
