Examining the warning signs of domestic violence with Hubbard House

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Authorities say a domestic dispute turned deadly in Shreveport, Louisiana, where eight children were killed in what investigators are calling a case of domestic violence.

And closer to home, recent high-profile cases involving public figures—including allegations tied to former Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax—are also raising questions about power, accountability, and how domestic violence can show up in different ways.

Advocates say these cases are a reminder: domestic violence doesn’t always look the same—but the warning signs are often there.
