1 person hospitalized for smoke inhalation after house fire in World Golf Village

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County Fire Rescue said firefighters responded to house fire Friday afternoon in World Golf Village, where one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters were called to the home on N. Bellagio Drive around 12:45 p.m. and saw flames coming from the garage.

They said a rapid search of the home confirmed everyone inside had evacuated prior to firefighters’ arrival. One person was treated on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation and is currently in stable condition, according to officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
