JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two people, after discovering two bodies inside of a home on Jacksonville’s Westside.
At 10pm on Saturday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check on the 4100 block of Sherman Hills Parkway West.

JSO says when officers got there, they met with a man who said he was worried after seeing his neighbors’ garage door open all day and all of the lights turned off in their home.
He said he knocked on the door and called his neighbors, but received no response.
Police say the man then called his neighbors’ daughter. She let the officers inside of the house to check on her parents.
During a protective sweep, the officers found two people unresponsive inside the back of the house.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department pronounced both people dead.
As of 6am, homicide detectives were on scene conducting an investigation into their deaths.
According to the sheriff’s office, this appears to be an isolated incident with no outstanding threat to the community.
This is an active investigation.
