FHP investigates fatal single-vehicle crash in Columbia County No description found
CLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 26-year-old woman was killed early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Columbia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred around 4 a.m. on County Road 245, just north of SE Sharon Lane. According to FHP, a grey Nissan sedan was traveling northbound when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
The right front passenger suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin had not been notified as of the time of the release.
The crash remains under investigation by the FHP Traffic Homicide Investigation Unit.
