ST. NICHOLAS NEIGHBORHOOD, Fla. – One man is dead and a woman had to be treated for injuries at a hospital after an apartment fire early Sunday morning.

JFRD Chief Aaron Bebernitz says the fire happened at the Landon Imperial Apartments on Art Museum Drive in the St. Nicholas neighborhood shortly after 4:15 a.m.
Bebernitz says the Red Cross is assisting 12 people, including five children.
Two apartment units were damaged from the fire. One of them was destroyed. (WJXT)
