The victim, inside the booth, Tammy Jo Baker, born in 1963, was killed.

“Despite rescue efforts on scene, the toll attendant did not survive her injuries,” the sheriff’s office said.

The driver, identified as Deanna Harrell of Ormond Beach, has been detained while investigators conduct a thorough crash investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood says Harrell is being tested for alcohol intoxication.
