Rusty Escandell captured the incredible moment when a giant manta ray did a back flip behind a surfer who was riding a wave. Escandell told WKMG that he was at the beach Sunday with his son, near Patrick Space Force Base, and didn’t even realize what happened. “To be frank with you, I was actually focusing on the surfer. AdEscandell posted the photo to Facebook and received dozens of likes, shares and comments on his own profile and then got hundreds more when the Satellite Beach page shared the snapshot.

The Latest: Cincinnati increases capacity for AAC title game

The school said it brought the capacity in line with what’s being allowed for Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals games. 17 Ohio State women’s basketball team canceled Saturday’s game against Iowa because of a spike in positive COVID-19 tests in the Buckeyes program. The Beach didn’t open its season until Dec. 4 and six of its seven games scheduled this month are road games. This will be the third straight game canceled. USC postponed its Pac-12 opener at home against Stanford over the weekend when it first reported the positive COVID-19 test.

2 Milwaukee women charged with drugging men in River North bars and robbing them, netting $85,000 in cash and valuables

Neither woman had a significant criminal history and both are mothers of young children, according to their attorneys. But Beach said drugging a person without their knowledge or consent was “an act of violence,” and set bail at $55,000 for Trammell and $45,000 for Rainey. Both are barred from having contact with the victims, and Trammell was barred from returning to Wisconsin during the case.

250 students, volunteers help clean up Guana Beach

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – More than 257 volunteers, mostly students, helped clean up GTMNERR (Guana) Beaches in South Ponte Vedra Beach on Sunday. Some of the schools represented were Ponte Vedra High School, Nease High School, Greenwood High School, Landrum Middle School, Fletcher Middle School, Palm Valley Academy, Ocean Palms Elementary, as well as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
