JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man injured outside a Southside apartment complex.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, officers responded around 3:30 a.m. Saturday to Barnes Road South after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his late 40s suffering from gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Investigators say the victim was standing outside his apartment building when four armed suspects approached him and opened fire.
According to detectives, the suspects carried a combination of rifles and handguns. After the shooting, all four suspects ran from the area on foot. Investigators have not released a possible motive.
Police described the suspects as four males wearing dark clothing and ski masks.
