ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A traffic study by the Florida Department of Transportation’s Traffic Operations office concluded this year that speed limits on State Road 16 between I‑95 and Four Mile Road should be adjusted to create a more gradual progression and improve safety and driver expectations, FDOT said.

The study reviewed existing speeds and recommended new limits; maps showing the current and proposed speed limits accompany the announcement. FDOT said the changes are intended to make speed transitions along the corridor more consistent for drivers.
