Deadly crash on I-95 at Lem Turner Road in Jacksonville leaves one dead, one ejected

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A deadly crash Sunday evening on Interstate 95 Northbound left one person dead and another ejected from the vehicle near Lem Turner Road in Jacksonville.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene shortly before 8 p.m. The single-car crash involved two patients — one died at the scene.

A second victim was thrown from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital.

FHP is currently on scene. Drivers in the area are urged to expect delays and use alternate routes where possible.

FHP says the cause of the crash is under investigation.
