JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A new piece of Jacksonville’s downtown riverfront opened its docks on Wednesday.
Met Park Marina is now open next to EverBank Stadium on the St. Johns River.

The marina offers 78 slips with power and water hookups. It also offers fuel, Wi-Fi, and other amenities for boaters.
City leaders want this riverfront stretch to become a destination.
They’re aiming for more sports, entertainment, dining, and public space.
Well-known Freedom Boat Club Jacksonville owner Lisa “The Boatanista” Almeida is beyond excited about the changes.
“My heart is about to overflow with excitement for this new marina. Not only for myself and all my boater friends but all of my members,” Almeida said. “To be able to come down and dock and go to the city and go to dinner and go to a life, it’s just like we’re finally invigorating our river.”
Reservations opened on Wednesday, with overnight stays starting Wednesday night.
Slips are first-come, first-served, but some dates are already booked. Project managers say Jaguars game weekends are filling up fast.
