JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man was arrested Tuesday on a second-degree felony charge after a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigation into allegations that an authority figure engaged in lewd conduct with a student, according to an arrest report.
Deantre Deyoung, 29, was booked into the Duval County Jail after being transported from the Putnam County Jail on an arrest warrant. He is being held without bond.

The lewd conduct felony charge Deyoung faces comes from alleged conduct that occurred on multiple occasions between November 2025 and May 2026, according to the redacted report.
The report did not identify the school or Deyoung’s role at the institution.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for Deyoung’s Instagram account and found several messages exchanged between the student and him.
According to the report, the suspect used Instagram’s “vanish mode” feature — which causes messages to disappear — when inappropriately communicating with the victim. Some of those messages were not recoverable, though the victim had preserved screenshots and recordings of some of the vanishing messages, investigators said.
Authorities say the initial conversations were non-sexual in nature before escalating. The report also notes that a supervisor had previously told Deyoung to stop all communication with the victim before the investigation.
