FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A 57-year-old Bunnell man was killed early Saturday after his pickup truck crashed into a tree along U.S. 1, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened after midnight just south of Education Way. FHP said the pickup was traveling southbound when it drifted into the grassy median and ditch.
The driver swerved back onto the roadway, where the truck began rotating clockwise, crossed both southbound lanes and entered the right shoulder. The driver’s-side door struck a standing tree, and the truck came to rest facing northbound.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
