Sophia Vitello takes wheel as Morning Show Traffic Anchor & Reporter
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With the departure of Amanda DeVoe for a new position out of state, News4JAX reporter Sophia Vitello will be taking over the role of Morning Show Traffic Anchor and Reporter.
Sophia joined News4JAX in September 2025 and has been covering Nassau County and general assignments. Sophia is a Navy wife and has also covered military stories.
She prides herself on representing the voiceless, the overlooked, and the underloved, after growing up in a home riddled with drugs.
Sophia’s reporting helped raise nearly $20,000 for a single mom and her two young children after losing their apartment to an electrical fire.
On Wednesday, she joined our Morning Show team to share how her challenging background helped shape her storytelling motivation.
