It happened at the Colombia-solidarity bridge that connects Texas and the Mexican state of Nuevo Laredo over the Rio Grande.

Officers initially sent the trailer truck for a second inspection. Then, officials said a canine and “non-intrusive” inspection turned up nearly 2,000 packages containing roughly 1,500 pounds of alleged cocaine.
“This seizure is a prime example of border security management and how it helps prevent dangerous narcotics from reaching our communities,” said Alberto Flores, the port director at the Laredo Port of Entry, in a release.
