Limoncello in San Marco re-imagines elevated dining — on a dime

After over 23 years of serving the San Marco area with exceptional food, service, and ambiance at Bistro AIX, the proprietors have unveiled a new culinary concept to their loyal clientele.

An authentic Italian restaurant, Limoncello Ristorante, draws its inspiration from the flavors of the Island of Capri along the Amalfi coast, the birthplace of the owner, Marcello Villani.

Marcello’s mother, fondly known as “Mamma Lulu,” recently passed away, driving her son’s desire to establish Limoncello.

Many of the dishes served at the restaurant were favorites of Marcello’s childhood, prepared lovingly by his mother.

Marcello told River City Live that when his brothers and sisters were playing, he was watching and learning in the kitchen with Mamma Lulu.

In his mother’s memory, Marcello will donate a portion of the restaurant’s profits to cancer research, with the hope of finding a cure for this devastating disease.

As prices continue to rise across the dining industry, Limoncello Ristorante is also committed to being the most cost-effective option in the area, Marcello said. He wanted to open a restaurant with authentic, fresh, simple cuisine at an affordable price.

“That’s the whole idea, not to have expensive items to make it appealing to the customer but at the same time very tasty and very economical,” Marcello said. “For me, the idea about this restaurant is not to make money. It’s to give my mother’s legacy (to the next generation).”

Marcello and his family extend their heartfelt invitation to all patrons. Make your reservation now at https://www.limoncellosanmarco.com/.
