Jacksonville – Nicole Shemwell, Board-Certified Trichologist and CEO of Advanced Hair Care & Wellness Spa, is bringing Jacksonville’s most important hair loss conversation to life with the 2nd Annual Discover the Root™ Hair Loss Awareness Weekend — a two-day community experience designed to educate, empower, and unite everyone affected by hair loss.
On Saturday, August 15, 2026, the community is invited to join The Root Walk at Friendship Fountain beginning at 8:00 AM — a completely free event open to all, featuring vendors on site and a walk in solidarity with those who have experienced hair loss or love someone who has.
Registration starts at 7:30AM for the Root Walk. Stretching starts at 7:30AM. The weekend continues Sunday, August 16, 2026 with the Discover the Root™ Awareness Brunch at Hotel Indigo Jacksonville-Deerwood Park from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, featuring an expert panel of a Medical Doctor, Nutritionist, Mental Health Therapist, and Inspirational Speaker.
