JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Week 4 of the high school football season is in the books, and what a week it was.

Trinity Christian pulled away from Bolles in a Super 10 showdown, winning 27-14 to end a two-game slide to their private school rival. Those programs have combined for 20 state championships. The No. 1 Conquerors (4-0) pulled away in the second half from Bolles, getting a two touchdown, 134-yard rushing game from Darnell Rogers to beat the Bulldogs (2-2).

It was a rough night for multiple ranked teams as four of the top 10 teams lost.

Oakleaf (3-1) controlled rival and third-ranked Fleming Island from the outset and won 26-20 to hand the Golden Eagles (3-1) their first loss — and district defeat, too — of the season and state their case as the best team in Clay County.

Fourth-ranked Creekside (3-1) battled but couldn’t slow down powerful Gainesville Buchholz (3-0) in a 48-41 district loss. Baldwin ended any residual momentum Baker County had from its Border Classic showing as the Indians dominated the No. 7 Wildcats, 30-7 in a district rout.

Among rivalry games, Flagler Palm Coast belted Matanzas 41-6 in the Potato Bowl.

No. 10 Mandarin drilled Atlantic Coast 30-0 in a battle for the Principal’s Cup. St. Augustine won a St. Johns County showdown with rival Menendez, 35-7.

First Coast stayed hot, beating Riverside 28-26 and its first back-to-back wins since Weeks 2 and 3 of the 2020 season.

Second-year program Tocoi Creek drilled Ridgeview 60-10. The Toros (3-1) have won six of their last nine games dating back to last season.
