The Vikings’ run has been spectacular. They were one loss away from elimination after getting dimed in six innings, 12-2 Marion Military, in the NJCAA Division II South Championship. St. Johns responded by winning five games out of the loser’s bracket to win the district championship and qualify for nationals.

It’s been the same performance there, with St. Johns winning all four games, including an upset of top-seeded Parkland, 4-2, in the second round.

Carley Jagiello homered and drove in three, Alyssa Vallad doubled twice and added a pair of RBI and Princess Arredondo doubled and drove in two as the Vikings took a 9-1 lead after the top of the fourth. Brooke Strickland earned the win in relief to improve to 12-4.
