Glance: The Trojans are one of the best teams in area history, winners of four state championships (1989, 1990, ‘94-95) under iconic head coach Bernard Wilkes. They’ve also finished as state runner-up (1985, 1997-98, 2005, 2014) five times. Their last two trips to Lakeland in 2017 (70-64 loss to Leesburg) and 2023 (43-39 loss to the Villages) have resulted in close losses. Gs Kaden Toure (16.7 ppg) and Jamian Jackon (14.8 ppg, 5 rpg) lead Ribault in scoring followed by another G, Kaleb McDuffie (9.4). This is head coach Charles Showers’ second trip to the state semifinals with Ribault. He knows a thing or two about the Trojans legacy, playing under Wilkes during his time at the school. Showers has a career record of 283-157 in head coaching stops at First Coast, Raines and Ribault.
