GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators hosted Mississippi State for homecoming on Saturday and hung on for a 23-21 win.

There’s been quite a bit of speculation on where head coach Billy Napier would remain with the Gators, and that was resolved Sunday afternoon when Florida fired Napier.
