ST. JOHNS, Fla. – Beachside rolled over Fleming Island 31-10 on Nov. 4 to win the District 3-5A championship.

The Barracudas broke open a 10-all game at halftime with 21 unanswered points to wrap up the title and automatic playoff berth. Beachside (7-3) needed to win in the game that was delayed several weeks due to weather.

Had Fleming Island won, it would have given the district championship to Ponte Vedra. Instead, the Sharks will go into the state playoffs as a highly seeded at-large team. The Golden Eagles are on the cut line to reach the playoffs.
