JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Varsity 4 News4JAX Super 6 boys lacrosse rankings will be published each Tuesday in the regular season. Records are through Feb. 23 games.

1. (1) Ponte Vedra (4-0, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Fletcher, Gulf Breeze, Starr’s Mill (Ga.), Winter Park.
Glance: Two high-quality Ws for the Sharks since our last Super 6. They ran past Starr’s Mill (16-7) and had no trouble with Winter Park (13-5). They’ve got Bishop Moore on Friday and Pensacola Catholic on Saturday.
2. (2) Bolles (6-0, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Buchholz, Cardinal Mooney, Nease, St. Edward’s.
Glance: The Bulldogs got one tight game since our last Super 6, a 9-8 win over St. Edward’s. They also rocked Nease (14-4) and Providence (14-1). Three quality games this week against Fletcher, Montverde and Gulf Breeze.
3. (3) Episcopal (2-0, Class 1A)
Notable wins: None.
Glance: The Eagles hammered Beachside (19-1) in their lone game since our last Super 6. Three tough road games are up this week against Oak Hall, Pensacola Catholic and South Walton.
4. (4) Fletcher (2-2, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Gulf Breeze.
Glance: The Senators dropped a 12-9 game against a very good Oak Hall team. They also beat Bartram Trail (7-5) since our last Super 6. Major test on Tuesday at No. 2 Bolles.
5. (6) Creekside (3-2, Class 2A)
Notable wins: St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek.
Glance: The Knights dropped games to quality out-of-area teams Bishop Moore (17-4) and Starr’s Mill (12-3). They bounced back with a 20-2 romp over Maclay. Huge clash against rival Bartram Trail on Wednesday.
6. (NR) St. Augustine (4-1, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Fleming Island, Menendez.
Glance: Could have gone a number of different ways here, including leaving Nease in the rankings. But I opted for the Yellow Jackets, whose only loss is to Creekside.
