T1. (1) Clay (5-0, Class 2A)

Notable wins: St. Augustine, Tocoi Creek, White.

Glance: The Blue Devils continue to steamroll teams. Since our last Super 6, Clay has beaten Tocoi Creek (14-0), St. Augustine (26-0) and Ribault (47-0). They’ve outscored teams by a combined 173-0 this season. The schedule hasn’t been the most challenging, but they have destroyed teams.

T1. (2) Ponte Vedra (7-0, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Chiles, Fletcher, Land O’Lakes, Sandalwood, Stanton

Glance: The Sharks have a case as the unquestioned No. 1 team. Their body of work since our last Super 6 was dominant, so they move up to a tie for the top spot. Ponte Vedra beat a 7-2 Land O’Lakes (12-7), a previously unbeaten Chiles team 25-6, and a very good Stanton team by 40. They’re off for Spring Break until March 24. Izzy Murray has 29 TD passes and 1,739 yards this season. Peyton Gruver and Julia Conroy have combined for 15 TD catches.

3. (3) Paxon (3-0, Class 2A)

Notable wins: Bradford, Stanton.

Glance: The Golden Eagles hammered Bishop Snyder 39-0 in their only game since our last Super 6. They’ve got a solid Fleming Island team on Thursday up next.

4. (NR) Bartram Trail (6-0, Class 3A)

Notable win: Fleming Island.

Glance: Very nice win for the Bears in a 12-7 W over Fleming Island on Tuesday night. That’s been their most challenging opponent of the season, and they took care of business.

5. (4) Bolles (4-1, Class 1A)

Notable wins: Fleming Island, University Christian.

Glance: The unbeaten start ended with a 15-6 loss to red-hot Nease. But that same Nease team got shellacked 31-0 by Tocoi Creek, so I’ve got the Bulldogs and Toros still ahead of the Panthers.

6. (5) Tocoi Creek (3-2, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Middleburg, Nease.

Glance: The Toros had a quality 12-6 win over Middleburg since our last Super 6, and also had losses to Clay (14-0) and a solid Lyman team (18-7). They also have an early 31-0 romp over Nease.

Dropped out
