JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Varsity 4 News4JAX softball Super 6 rankings will be published Thursday through the end of the regular season with the exception of a week off for spring break. Records are through March 11.

1. (1) Baker County (8-0, Class 4A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Baldwin, Bishop Snyder, Middleburg, West Nassau, Yulee.
Glance: The beat goes on for the Wildcats, who reach Spring Break on a tear. Since our last Super 6, Baker County had quality Ws over Yulee (11-1), Middleburg (3-1) and West Nassau (4-2). Baleigh Shields leads the Wildcats with a .600 average.
2. (3) Baldwin (7-2, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Clay, Middleburg, Paxon, Yulee.
Glance: The Indians routed Paxon (12-2) and edged Atlantic Coast (7-6) since our last Super 6. They’ve got West Nassau and Keystone Heights before Spring Break. Jazmine Ramos-Merced (.500), Lily Hubbard (.419) and Hayden Peebles (.387) are leading Baldwin at the plate.
3. (5) Episcopal (6-2, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Bishop Snyder, Mandarin.
Glance: The Eagles beat Providence 15-3 in their only game since our last Super 6. Their only losses are to Winter Springs and Winter Springs. They’re off until March 18 against Bishop Kenny. Amelia Oreair (.417), Emily Davidson (.417) and Riley Valent (.417) are leading the Eagles.
4. (2) West Nassau (6-2, Class 3A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Yulee.
Glance: The Warriors dropped two of three games since our last Super 6, a 4-2 loss to No. 1 Baker County and a 3-1 L to a quality Paxon. They hammered Fernandina Beach (18-4). They’ve got Baldwin and Trinity Catholic before Spring Break.
5. (6) University Christian (6-0, Class 1A)
Notable wins: Bishop Snyder, Fleming Island, Madison County, Sandalwood.
Glance: The Christians have been off since our last Super 6 and won’t play again until March 17. Cassidy Morgan (.556) and Piper Tessier (.471) are atop the offensive leaders, Dixie Tessier (4-0, 27 Ks, 20 IP) has yet to allow an earned run.
6. (NR) Columbia (8-2, Class 4A)
Notable wins: Gainesville, Ridgeview, Venice, Williston (twice).
Glance: The Tigers are out to a quality start, headlined by a 3-2 win over an 8-3 Venice. One loss is to two-time defending Rural state champ, Trenton. Alannah Lord (.594, 3 HR, 13 RBI) leads the offense. Columbia gets the nod this week over Creekside, Ponte Vedra and Paxon. Considered the Golden Eagles after their win over West Nassau but held off.
