With the rookie wage scale set in 2011, players know what they’ll receive when they’re drafted.

Only first-round picks have fifth-year options available where teams can exercise that to lock players in after their rookie deals expire.

Boerkircher, the Texas A&M tight end who was a surprising pick at No. 56, will earn a rookie contract worth $8,539,036 when he does sign.
