They’re back: Gators hoops team to face Grand Canyon in Jacksonville in December

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida men’s basketball team will play in Jacksonville for the third consecutive season when it faces Grand Canyon in mid-December.

The Gators will play at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on Dec. 18 with the school announcing the matchup on Tuesday morning. Tickets will first be available in a presale on Oct. 20 and then for public sale on Oct. 21.

Florida is coming off a season where it won the SEC championship but lost in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Gators won the national championship the previous season. Florida brings back four starters under head coach Todd Golden.

Jacksonville has become a recent home for the Gators. Florida opened its 2024-25 season here against South Florida and beat Miami in town last year.
