(AP Photo/Steven Senne)The drive to vaccinate Americans against the coronavirus is gaining speed and newly recorded cases have fallen to their lowest level in three months, but authorities worry that raucous Super Bowl celebrations could fuel new outbreaks. Newly confirmed infections have declined to an average of 117,000 a day, the lowest point since early November. But experts say the decline in cases is real. The sight of fans, many without masks, celebrating the Super Bowl in the streets, in sports bars and at game-watching parties has sparked worries of new outbreaks.

An altered photo of rappers Ice Cube and 50 Cent in hats that appear to show support for President Donald Trump circulated widely on social media Tuesday, fueled in part by a tweet by Eric Trump. He removed the tweet with a photo of the two rappers in hats saying “Trump 2020” after being called out by Ice Cube on Twitter. Ice Cube’s hat says “Big3,” a reference to a 3-on-3 basketball league he co-founded, and 50 Cent wears one with the New York Yankees logo. Ice Cube shared the original photo on his Twitter account on July 6 to send a birthday message to 50 Cent. In a recent interview with CNN, he said both the Trump campaign and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign reached out to him about his contract.

50 Cent isn't here for your 'Power' theme song complaints
Jason Merritt/Getty Images(CNN) - They say this is a big, rich town, but there apparently isn't a need for it to have more than one theme song version. The theme song for the show, "Big Rich Town," was remixed with singer Trey Songz and didn't go over as well as the original featured singer Joe. "I need @Power_STARZ to keep the original version of their theme song cause Trey songs version ain't it," one person tweeted. Former star of the show and executive producer, rapper 50 Cent, raps on both versions and didn't appear to appreciate the criticism. "Y'all just wanta f**k with me today, talking bout put my song back or I'm a f**k you up 50," he wrote in a NSFW Instagram posting.
